Archibus Training Services

This 2-hour course gives participants a working knowledge of Archibus’ web interface and the skills to develop foundational data effectively. The content covers user interfaces, current applications, use of menus and home pages, and connectivity to other systems before diving into best practices for developing core data. The course is an introduction for power users and administrators looking to understand capabilities and for existing clients who would like to review or adopt the latest technologies.

This 2-hour course introduces the Archibus Smart Client, a tool that allows reviewing and editing data tables with the ease of a spreadsheet. The content demonstrates how to review data, create personalized data views, update records individually or in bulk, and to import/export data to/from MS Excel. The course gives (non-database) administrators and CAD/BIM operators the ability to check data quality or perform troubleshooting while implementing a feature or commissioning a new space.

This 2-hour course introduces the Archibus Workplace interface, a staff-facing portal into facilities services. Participants learn to create requests for services, book a desk, schedule meeting rooms, request departmental moves, or find locations of rooms and equipment. The second part of the course teaches service teams to manage those requests using the ‘Service Console’ and administrators to prepare the interface based on service offerings.

This 8-hour course introduces the Archibus Smart Client Extension, an AutoCAD plugin that allows CAD operators to link drawing data and 2D images to Archibus. Initially, participants learn to prepare drawings for use in space and operations environments. They then develop a 2-way link between the drawings and the database and learn to manage on-going changes to a floor’s spaces and physical assets. The latter portion of the course teaches system administrators to configure the Extension and its on-screen and printed output.

This 8-hour course introduces the Archibus Smart Client Extension, a Revit plugin that allows BIM specialists to link drawing data and 2D/3D images to Archibus. Initially, participants learn to prepare building information models (BIM) for use in space and operations environments. They then develop a 2-way link between the models and the database and learn to manage on-going changes to a floor’s spaces and physical assets. The last portion of the course teaches system administrators to configure the Extension and its on-screen output.

This 16-hour course is designed to prepare administrators and users for using the Archibus Cloud ‘Foundations’ applications. 8 hours of the course outlines for administrators how to develop core background data to get the system up and running.
